Gift Receiving
We're pretty satisfied with the amount of stuff we have accumulated; and while its often the case that things arise that we feel we could use, at this point we aren't planning on creating a gift registry of items we want people to purchase for us. We have brainstormed a short list of some items that we could use, however, since we try to live simply, sustainably, and creatively we have acquired by now most of the things we need to have a comfortable household. Our expenses tend to therefore be more in the areas of day to day life for maintaining our family, as well as planning on traveling to visit Canda's family in Europe/honeymooning. We are also seriously looking into the potential of buying land to create an abundant life with our own place on this Earth. As a result, financial assistance would be the best and most useful form of support and gifting these days...
Here, however, is the short list (please contact us for details on many of these and check back later as we will likely add some ideas):
-A homeopathic first aid kit for traveling and for kids (might be different)
-A nice new digital camera with good quality video potential
-A good juicer
-A food processor
-Gift Certificate to Ashland Food Co-Op
PS-By no means do we want people to feel that a sweet, tasteful, heartfelt and/or homemade gift is not acceptable. We just want people to know that we are an organic, sustainable family and do not want to add to the over-consumption status quo of weddings and gifts.
