Alongside an ice-cold Estrella (they only seem to serve beer ice-cold here), the pozole is an amazing meal, and I eat and write a bit in my journal. When I look up, a young woman is boring into me boldly with her eyes. I gaze back, and our eyes lock. There is something ineffable about this kind of stare; there's no smile, only electricity, and it crosses a room like telepathy. The first few tenths of a second are one thing, the rest of that first second another, and then after that it moves into completely uncharted territory. It goes from "I like you" to "I love looking at you" to "I am completely yours, possess me, have everything I can possibly offer." It is not something you can ignore. Try it.
